Ron Townsend is an effective leader with extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, and Executive Management. He served the Forethought Group for twenty-two years where he held various executive positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.  He joined the company in its initial start-up phase and was instrumental in growing the company to a position of over $4 billion in invested assets.   

Ron is the architect of a comprehensive sales consulting platform, and he has written and produced a series of sales presentations and training workshops used by sales managers nationwide. 

As Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Ron led a national sales organization of up to 100 sales consultants and a management team of seven Regional Managers and two Divisional Vice Presidents, all of whom called on thousands of firms within the company’s channel of distribution.  Ron also managed the company’s Marketing Department, which created and produced B-to-B and B-to-C marketing strategies, campaigns and support materials.  Ron was responsible for over $500 million in new sales annually and personally negotiated large client sales contracts of up to $100 million each. 

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Honors College at Ball State University.
